True Fire Paint?

im trying to figure out how to do a good true fire paint job on an upcoming project, but i have no idea how to approch it, i have done a little airbrushing but im no pro, i would like to learn how to do this type of finish though, anybody done a true fire job and if so any pointers? thanks!

If you mean a realistic fire paint job, your best bet is a material finish, either poster or fabric.

Years and years and years of practice with your airbrush. Mike Lavallee has been working at it for years... don't expect to be able to do that kind of work overnight.

well i can do hot rod flames no damn problem, but i dont know where to start on doing true fire so i guess i just better wait till that instructional vid comes out eh?

wes you hear the story about the helicopter that mike lavallee painted like that, the guy who had it done landed at some restuant, and within 10 minutes they had something like 5 fire engines there! now thats what i can a damn good paint job!!!!

Yeap, Mike is the god of real flames job, I saw the TLC show were he did that Duece and it is simply amazing how he does it!
