GuitarMan686
Working on a flat body les paul. It is not made out of the best wood and I want to do a stain job on it. I am going to veneer the top and possibly the back. Since the wood is layered i dont want to stain the side because it will look rather ugly. What can I go about doing to make the sides nice? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Skr4ped
Why not do a stain on the top, and then just do a solid black finish on the back and sides? No one's really going to see the back, and it would save you a lot of work.
