antique_dream
Hey everyone, I want to use thicker strings on my Ibanez 7-string, but I'm afraid the trem. lock won't hold them. Is there a way to file the bridge area to fit larger strings? I want to use a .70 or .80 on the low B. I've already locked down the bridge, so that is not an issue. Scott Rosenberger
Take the Block out of the saddle and put the ball end in sideways then re-tighten the screw into the hole in the ball end to hold the string
Jester700
He meant the nut. Never saw this problem. Longer screws, maybe?
antique_dream
Oops, I think i used a confusing term. Scott seemed to understand me, though. I'm not using the locking nut anymore, so I'm not worried about that. I was worried that the bridge saddle wouldn't take the heavy string. i'll try scott's suggestion as soon as I change strings.
