oldsonstrummer
I am attempting to refininsh a 1969 EPI Serenader 12 string concertina guitar. I have never don e this before. I am reading the refinishing tips but most are for solid body electrics. Is it OK to use Acetone to strip a hollow body acoustic? And I need new tuning machines, where is a good place to find replacements. Thanks
www
I don't think acetone will work very well. It will melt away the binding. A lacquer remover would be best, but I'm not sure about the binding even then. Sanding is the other alternative. Tuning machines can be found at many places. Do a search for tuning machines and I'm sure you'll come up with something. Try Here, or here
