bigdguitars
Guy selling nut tool on ebay.... This looks interesting. For 10 bucks its worth a try? -Derek
tdog
Don't get too exited about these things...They are files that are used to clean the tips of oxy-acetylene cutting torches. These files are inserted into the tips to clean residues that are built up. They are not stiff files and tend to bend easily. You can find these in your local welding shops or hardware stores for $6-9 depending on the length you want.......so its not even a great deal.....I don't think they will do the job of cutting string slots
bigdguitars
DOH at least I know to proceed with some caution thanks!
Devon Headen
I've heard of people having success with those before, so it might be a good tool
Southpa
That is NOT a nut slotting tool. I have one in my tool box and as mentioned, use it for cleaning oxyacetylene cutting tips. It cost me $2.95 Cdn. Geez, these guys who pull this crap really frost my nuts .
soapbarstrat
Yeah, it's great that some of us have good stuff to sell , but seldom sell any of it, then there's clowns that can pull off stuff like that.
westhemann
these guys are right.i use these every day at work.and they are too flexible to be of much use.not saying it won't work at all,but you would be better off getting a set of feeler guages(for gapping spark plugs) and cutting teeth into them. nut slotting file congratulations on your new purchase bigd

Devon Headen
you would be better off getting a set of feeler guages(for gapping spark plugs) and cutting teeth into them. That's what I use., and it seems to work well.
bigdguitars
what a waste of ten bucks.... oh well maybe I can use it as a door stop.......
ddgman2001
Wait a tick. Why can't you cut the slots most of the way with a regular nut file - which leave the bottom less than perfectly round - and then finish the bottom with the new tool? Devon Headen
I don't think he would've gotten that tool if he had nut files.
