Gorecki
Skull's gone jazz, but that doesn't make alex any less of an awesome talent You're right, he's a level headed guy. He was way different than he looked back in those days. Looks more like he really is now. Think it was a good move for him.

Jester700
I just got some old bootlegs of live 80's concerts, and it's cool seeing my old guitar heroes in their day. I got a Vandenberg show (before he went to Whitesnake), a Whit Lion/Vito Bratta show (what's with all the color/critter band names in the 80's?), Jake E. Lee w/Ozzy... I always liked the guys who did "other than Yngwie licks". The Shrapnel crowd seemed too similar to me, though I liked Vinnie Moore's phrasing best of those guys. Anyway, I was surprised at how good some of Glenn Tipton's stuff was with Judas Priest. He could smoke, though I don't think he was thought of as a shredder... Jehle
everyone's forgotten the jonester!!!!! Ah, another guitar war member. In that case you have to check out my chum Ben... erm Vibetronic. He keeps promising a CD, but there's just mp3's on his site for the moment. He's totally mental sounding and can shred (with and without taste). Check him out here... www.vibetronic.com In that same mental style, you have to check out these guys... Ron Thal (bumblefoot) Mattias IA Eklundh

Jehle
Oh ive heard of bumble foot. Hes the guy with a guitar shaped like a bumblebee with a foot. He plays fretless guitars if if not mistaken... Yep, and he puts a thimble on his right pinky to get these really high notes. The man is mental. Honestly, I prefer Mattias IA Eklundh. It's just a little more approachable and his pyrotechnique guitar playing makes my jaw drop. He hits notes and sounds that make your jaw drop. I don't stun easily nowadays. Most of what I hear guitarists play, I dismiss as just wanky guitar playing. Not with Mattias. Trust me, buy "Freak Guitar" and you'll see what I mean.
