How Do You Build A Neck And Pick Up?

This may sound really stupid to most of you cause you are all talking in other topics about building this stuff like its second nature but i have no idea what's going on... how exactly do you build a pick up? is it different for a bridge or a neck pickup? and how do you make a neck?

sorry if i sound like a moron...but i'm really curious and what to understand what everyone is talking about. thanks for the help...

I started out in a daze as to how to make guitars and pickups. The info I found here has helped a great deal. I wind pickups now having bought Jason Lollars book and also surfing the net for pickup info. http://www.guitarnuts.com has lots of info and tips on pickups and guitar wiring and also check out http://www.firebottle.com
