Blueroomstudios
Hello everyone, I am getting ready to start a fabric top project and will do the headstock as well. My question is when to put the logo down. Should there be a couple of coats of clear on the fabric, polished, then the logo with more clear? Thanks in advance for any assistance on this. Happy New Year.

Brian
Just showed up, anyway yes go ahead and clear it or add sanding sealer or what ever it takes to smooth out the surface so the materials texture doesn't interfer with the logo looking sharp and flat, then do the clear over that. Sounds like a lot of trouble and buildup on the headstock but it really isn't that much once you sand everything down to make it flat. Blueroomstudios
Thank you Brian...I did some trial runs with two different fabrics on some scrap I had lying around. I got some good results, and a decent gloss. My body will be here in a few days. I'm doing a Jackson Dinky body topped with a cream colored fabric with black Japanese Kanji chracters printed on it. Then a soft poor boys burst in black to finish it off. I've got my fingers crossed. This will be my first project. Thanks again.
