Moreau Posted January 11, 2005 Report Posted January 11, 2005 Hi there, I want to start a neck thru bass, and was curious if i needed quartersawn or flat sawn. Am i best to just buy a maple blank and cut it? Or should I buy boards? I want to have it Maple/Purpleheart/Maple/Purpleheart/Maple. So do I use flat sawn and turn it on its side, or do I use quartersawn and but it to strips? Thanks for helping out. Quote
Phil Mailloux Posted January 11, 2005 Report Posted January 11, 2005 Buy flatsawn and turn it on its side. Most people do that for multiple laminated neck-through's Quote
