sepultura999
Of course there's the famous gibson goldtop finish, which is offered through reranch.com but what about a silvertop finish? Has anyone seen one (if they exist) and does anyone know where to get some? Thanks. -Jamie
croaticum
well, first thing that comes to my mind is to mix bunch of silver flakes (you can buy that in any hobby/art stores) and mix it with clear, then spray it withy your paint gun, if you have one. If you dont have paint gun try to go to your local paint shop and they will probably be able to mix it up for you and put it in the can. hope i helped

You'd need like 1/8" of clear to make it smooth. Edited January 22, 2005 by Godin SD
croaticum
not really uneven but you can allways throw few coats of clear to even it up and send it with 1000-2000 sendpaper to get that high gloss.

Unless you can get tiny flakes small enough to fit out of a spray gun/can nozzle.
Crazy Carl
Gibson's already done a few 'silver' tops. They did a limited run of 'pewter' LP Customs & look at the silver color they use on the 'Platinum' LP Studios.
