thomasteven Posted January 23, 2005 Report Posted January 23, 2005 (edited) The pieces aren't matched to eachother very well at all. Edited January 23, 2005 by thomasteven Quote
Devon Headen Posted January 23, 2005 Report Posted January 23, 2005 That depends on the price. Did anyone read the picture rules except me? Hotlinking is not allowed. period Quote

Hotlinking is not allowed. period ← sorry, it was an already hotlinked picture, and i didnt think about that rule. id be using it for a bottom, would that little notch in the wood at the joint on the left side be a problem, since the top of the body shouldnt reach it.. ? and the price is like .. 25. plus shipping, i think its 45 Edited January 23, 2005 by 1nf1d3l Quote
thomasteven Posted January 23, 2005 Report Posted January 23, 2005 I personally wouldn't pay that much for those pieces of wood. Are they supposed to be bookmatched? Quote

westhemann Posted January 23, 2005 Report Posted January 23, 2005 that is godawful wood.i can't even tell what type it is. when you look for guitar wood that is not intended to be for a figured top, look for a more uniform grain pattern.the straighter the better of course some woods don't have straight grain ever.you kind of need to know the typical look of the wood you are searching for. Simo Posted January 23, 2005 Report Posted January 23, 2005 I've looked at DK Woodshop's ebay auctions and all of the Alder blanks are either green or only air dried for a few months, so unless you've got access to a kiln I'd look elsewhere Quote
1nf1d3l Posted January 23, 2005 Author Report Posted January 23, 2005 ok, theres some more wood i am looking at, i was wrong about the price for this stuff Quote
