Humbucker Wiring Choices

Going to be wiring two humbuckers soon,

Can anyone explain what -if any- difference these two wiring diagrams would make.

I'm not sure what the one in the left side is supposed to do. I'd go with the one on the right since it actually shows the cap connecting the volume and tone controls together. That's just a standard tone control configuration there.

its doing the same thing. i dont like to stretch the cap out like that (just sorta gets in the way ya know) so i place it on the tone pot---which is what the one on the left it doing... id go with it

The way #2 is wired, the cap is grounded at both ends - the ground should hook up to the pot case, not the lug. Fix that, and you've got identical circuits for all intents and purposes. Since the cap and the pot are in series, it doesn't matter which order they are in - I usually prefer the first method (easier for me to wire reliably - no idea why ), but almost everybody else uses the second, so do whichever is easiest for you.
