Well I am building a sort of hollowbody/classic hybrid with nylon strings and the wood that I would be using for the back and top is really thin birch. And when I mean thin its thin. I have heard birch is stiff, I am using it in my neck and it sure feels stiff man.

If I use this for top and back wood will it be able to resonate at least pretty good? My sides are about 3/5 of an inch in basswood (yes my choices of material are a bit unorthodox). If birch is so stiff it might not resonate very well, but the thin pieces feel good and I could decrease the bracing a bit.

Tell me what you think :D
