ddgman2001
There used to be a company marketing a fret lube. I think it was packaged in a felt tip pen. You just painted the lube on the fret top. Does anyone remember the stuff, what it was called, if it's still available? TIA
westhemann
are you talking about gorilla snot? but all that stuff is worthless imo
thedoctor
I second that worthless evaluation. The only lube product I believe in is NutSauce or any equiv. I have found that the newer synthetic nuts don't need it like the bone or mettalic ones do. Ivory needs it also.

skibum5545
Dude, hit the frets with 8000 grit sandpaper and they'll be smoother than butter.

Devon Headen
Huh? The gorilla snot I've used isn't for lubing frets, it's for adding friction to the pick so you don't drop it. It really works quite well, but I've changed picks, so I don't need it anymore.
thedoctor
I thought I had heard of Gorilla Snot before! That's that stuff the real hardcore drumline guys use on their sticks so they don't fly out of their hands! Nice name, I must say!
