CudBucket
I want to order my dye and can't decide on the color. I plan to shoot clear on top. Thanks.

Sambo
Gotta be trans blue with natural binding and a black back (and matching headstock).
genbloke
I kinda agree with sambo, trans blue with a black burst and natural binding would look awesome genbloke
Maiden69
That's going to be tough to pull with natural binding, the contour of the guitar is roung, I voted for blue, because it's my favorite color. THe flame on that top is very subtle, I would stain blue-blue then do a nice burst with blue toned clear over the edge, but not over the mahogany, thne clear the entire guitar. I love to black fill the grain on mahogany and it looks good Another way could be to tape 1/4" natural binding and then staining. MAke sure that you seal the natural binding realy good to prevent the stain to sweeping in.
CudBucket
Maiden, natural binding on the roundover scares me too. Although, I love the idea of blue with nat. binding.
Slabbefusk
I have Transparent Sapphire Blue on my RG and its a damn nice color, go with it!
Maiden69
I think that like I mentioned on your thread a long time ago, is to go to Carvin site for ideas, that's the same way they do the DC guitar with rounded edges,
skibum5545
I have to go with orange on this one. There are -so- many blue dyed guitars out there. Green is cool, but not particularly striking. Yellow is too weak a color. Orange, on the other hand, is eye catching, fun, and IMHO, used far less often than it should be.
bassman
Yep, while blue looks very cool on a guiatr top if done properly... green has some real potential- but as skibum said not as striking. A two tone burst of blue and green would be nice.
ThePlague
none of these choices really jumped out at me as what this guitar should be. when i look at that guitar i immediately think that it should be either a very deep red or brown. i went with green simply becuase i like green and it doesn't get used as much as blue does. fryovanni
I voted for green, it is really my second choice. I think that guitar and combination of woods would look really good natural. The rich natural color of Mahogany will really look great against a nice white curly Maple top, not to mention the fret boards brilliant colors will be set off by a Maple top(its a great combination of wood colors and textures, show em off).Thats just my thought, you could always apply a little thinner and see how it would look if it had a clear finish. It is going to be killer no matter what color you choose, great work! See ya, Rich

CoryKer
Contrary to everyone else's opinion, I think a nice yellow would look fantastic. More of an amber, I guess. You see an awful lot of trans blue guitars, but not many trans yellow. I think an amber-type finish would look great against the darker fretboard.
