Tinting Lacquers

I have been tinting my lacquers with trans tint. Its that the correct way to do it? It seems that the lacquers then get cloudy more so than acutally tinting them.

What do you guys use? If there any other way to do this?

I know that water bourne lacquers tend to be cloudy and not very clear in some areas, but if you are spraying nitro lacquer, then there must be another problem

i can't remember which is which.. transtint or transfast. one is waterbased.. I assume you are using the alcohol based one? Could be a bad batch of dye?
