2 Volume Knobs On A Strat?

Hey, I've been wondering, how do you modify a strat so that it has 2 volume and 1 tone knobs instead of 1 volume and 2 tones. I hear that Eric Johnson was quite fond of this modification. The strat i own is a Mexican FatStrat, i want the tone for the humbucker one volume for the humbucker and one volume for both single coils. I have a feeling this will pretty hard, so any help will be apreciated.

It shouldnt be hard at all. The only thing is deciding what (if anything) your selector switch will do.

I don't have an exact diagram for what you're describing, but here are two that are close:

this one is for just two pickups, but it'd be the same if you connected a third pickup to one of the other two. this gives you two volumes and one tone.

Here's another one that isn't quite what you're asking, but it's interesteing, and it makes use of the selector-

With this one you add a pull switch to one of the knobs that converts from a regular strat layout to one in which the neck tone is a neck voume.
