unclej
Don't know how many of you pro's work on acoustic instruments or have heard of these guys but here's some pups worth checking out. Buddy of mine came accross them and was interested in their gypsy guitar model which is two small soundboard transducers y'd off of an endpin jack..got it in yesterday and installed it in his gitane and it has the best across the board frequency responce of any transducer type pickup i've ever installed. ran it straight into a little crate acoustic amp with all the controls set flat and every note in a chord was heard equally. i've been an l.r. baggs dealer for a long time and if k&k's other products are as good as this one i'll push them. can't buy retail directly from them but dealership was simple to set up with no minimum buy in and they were super helpful. check 'em out at www.kksound.com
frank falbo
You'll never go wrong with K&K. I made a poor man's system with an internal mic that I love, but if I wasn't as knowledgeable as I am I would've saved up for the Trinity. Plus I used an outboard box, and the same internal components in both my classical and steel string. So they both feed the same box. But you really could do the same thing with K&K. Even though my system sounds great I'll always wish it was a K&K. L.R. Baggs is great but K&K is in a different league. Side note, I've heard second hand that the stuff they give you to adhere the transducers isn't that great, and that you can substitute CA if you want.
