screwdelulu
Is Cocobolo hard enough to make a fingerboard for a fretless bass, considering the fact I am NOT going to put any kind of finish on the fingerboard? Does Rosewood have any practical advantage for this purpose?
erikbojerik
Cocobolo is a rosewood, and yes it should be fine for a fretless as long as you use flatwound or tapewound strings. Roundwounds will grind little grooves in the board.
