shapiro
Hey, I am planning on making a bass guitar. I have some pots (a 500 and a 250) and i plan on getting these pickups from stewmac: http://www.stewmac.com/shop/Electronics,_p...ss_Pickups.html I have a book on guitar building and it talks about bass pickups but has no wiring diagrams for the bass. I want to have a volume and tone knob and was wondering if anyone could point me in the direction of the proper way to wire this thing. Thanks
unclej
at the top of this page click on project guitar home page, click on tutorials, click on electronics, click on wiring diagrams and pick out the shematic that you're looking for. good luck! shapiro
Hey, I checked that section out and the closest thing i can find to what I want is this: http://www.seymourduncan.com/website/suppo...one1switch.html only difference is that mine are bass pickups, and im not sure if its treated as 1 or 2 pickups since each pickup does half the strings. And also, i couldnt find a diagram that is 2 pickups and a volume knob and tone knob, anything on that page with more than 1 pickup also has a switch which i dont want. im guessing that if the 2 bass pickups are treated as one then i would use this diagram: http://www.seymourduncan.com/website/suppo...1vol_1tone.html please let me know thanks
unclej
if i remember right those pickups are wired as a humbucker with two leads. if that's the case then the second link in your post is the correct one. if you have more questions when you get the pups let us know. stageleft
I've used those pups. They are surprisingly good for the price, and they come with the wiring diagram. George
