lovekraft Posted June 30, 2005 Report Posted June 30, 2005 The easiest, quietest possible killswitch simply shorts the hot lead to ground - doing anything else makes little or no sense, and could easily cause noise and hum problems. BTW, this has been discussed at length here - a quick search would have told you that.

Sorry I should have mentioned that we really only get break before makes at the shops round here(or they dont say and the geeks in the shop dont know) so my modded guitars usually make pops and clicks with the pickup selectors.(although i think it gives vintage character not heard since the old blues records) But still, any body with somat between their ears would call that post a lame plug of your site, and I call it spam. edit: learn some basic grammer, and I wont even say anything bout your lame spam! But also, grammar ain't spelling(and I'm kinda surprised I spelt it wrong). And hey I failed english so don't diss. Even in NZ, English isn't exactly a foreign language - anyway, I made my point, so I won't point out the punctuation errors in the quote above (hint: you're missing some commas and stuff). I kid because I care! ← Well, it varies a bit to Armey English. And believe it or not, that was a deliberate punctuation mistake. Just testin' ya after you spotted my bad Engrich. But hey, I ditched school to escape the English lessons, I'll not diss the people that don't use ANY punctuation, you dont diss my bad spelling. I think thats fair.

(i'll post up more info in another thread). i have an EMG for it, and asked emg if i could put a killswitch in it. they told me that you can, just break the red power wire and bridge it with a switch. just thought anyone with EMG's might like to know this useful info.
