Wiring Emg Pickups In Fender Strat

# Wiring: These pickups feature a shielded 3-conductor output wire. White is full humbucking output, red is coil-cut output, black is ground. For full humbucking output, tape off the red wire, use white for hot and black for ground.

My best bet is that the shield wire is ground just like in the actives. I have never used selects or HZ, they suck IMO. Always use actives.

EMG Selects have a 3 conductor output wire, as opposed to the traditional 2 or 4 wire output setup. I'm assuming your pickup is used and the red wire was cut short because it is not used when using the select as a humbucker only, and I believe you can use the red lead to coil tap for single coil sounds. White is hot, the black with yellow mesh is ground. Wire as normal.

Yep, just confirmed red wire is for coil tap output.
