bluespresence
This was discussed very recently.....I used the SEARCH function and found this: Mahogany Search first and avoid redundant threads......and avoid everyone telling you to search first
Guitarfrenzy
I prefer Honduras Mahogany (aka Genuine Mahogany) but if you can't find or afford it, then African is a great alternative.
fryovanni
Khaya is a weighs a little less, and seems to be a bit darker(in terms of calor) in general (not a rule just most of the time). They are both very good. African is easy to find and you can get really nice pieces, it is also cheaper. Tone.... Pretty darn close (but thats just my impression). Genuine finishes a tiny bit easyer. I go back and forth between them, I don't have any compaints about either. Peace, Rich
