unclej Posted July 28, 2005 Report Posted July 28, 2005 a guy was telling me the other day that he had scored an old phonograph with a tube amp in it. he had it so that he could play his guitar through it but it wasn't real loud and he couldn't make it distort at all. then he asked if he could replace the 5005's with el84's and what difference would it make in the sound. well, i can't find any voltage info on a sylvania 5005. is there such a thing or did he get the number wrong? lovekraft Posted July 28, 2005 Report Posted July 28, 2005 I think he got the number wrong - I can't find any reference to a 5005. Quote
