Strap Locks Tear Up Ur Guitar?

i put strap locks on my jazz bass and i'm guessing that the screws were to small for the arginal holes in the bass but now after about a year the screws have pretty much dug out the holes and striped them out. just to make it short. how can i fix it? just fill it with putty or somthing so i can put the orginal strap holders back on? thanks for the help.

Two options, superglue (CA) and toothpicks inserted in the holes and use original screws OR use bigger screws.
