Mickguard Posted August 16, 2005 Report Posted August 16, 2005 Okay, now that I just discovered that I'll need 500k pots to match with the P90 I'll be using, here's a question: I have a bunch of different pots here. One set comes from an old Morris (70s Japan) guitar --the pots are really small, about the size of a dime. The other set looks like NOS pots --they're also marked as Made in Japan --but they're the size of a quarter (same size as the broken pot yanked out of my Melody Maker, but I don't know if that was an original pot) Does size matter? haggardguy Posted August 16, 2005 Report Posted August 16, 2005 I think as long as you can fit it in the control cavity your good to go. Quote
b5111987 Posted August 16, 2005 Report Posted August 16, 2005 the small pots were made for guitars that dont have allot of room to fit controls in, they dont make any diffrence to sound or anything as far as im aware iv used big and small in the same guitar aswell Quote
Devon Headen Posted August 16, 2005 Report Posted August 16, 2005 I've used both and much prefer the small. They're a lot easier to work with. Quote
Mickguard Posted August 16, 2005 Author Report Posted August 16, 2005 Yep, it'll be a lot easier using the smaller pots, I'll go with them. Thanks! Quote
