Guest AlexVDL
Serial looks like it's from 2000. So it must be a Deluxe reissue. It should have 2 minihumbuckers. Other than that it should be fairly standard. But 800 bucks is way cheap!! I hope it doesn't have a repaired headstock or neck crack?? Is the neck straight? If everything works fine and no major damage and wear, than I should say you had a pretty good deal!!

john
i think its actually 2001, from what ive read, the current gibsons age can be told from the 1st and 5th digit of the serial no. , in your case thats '01. but i may be wrong. Guest AlexVDL
Yeah that's what I thought in the first place, but the 2000 deluxe are limited editions, and those have special serial numbers beginning with 00, 01, 02 etc for year. But than again I could be wrong too
Strings to the Max
Well I'll let you both know, I E-mailed GIBSON with the Ser# and the Problems it has, which in both cases should not happened in 2-3 years I posted the problems under Finishes on this forum !! DCord
I had one of those, only mine was a '75. Gibson made quite a few standards with Deluxe necks (or Deluxes with standard bodies, if that's how you want to look at it). I *loved* that guitar, I miss it daily. Congrats! ~d~
