bumhucker
I rewired the stock pickups in my 77 guild bass from series to parallel. i simlpy hooked both positive wires to the + terminal and the black ones to the -. they sound great but they hum now! they should be parallel/humbucking right? the reason i did it is because these pickups are way too bassy and way too high output. from what i remember they read 33k each! they would overdrive everything i'd plug them into. any ideas? lovekraft
How was the pickup wired before you started modding it? Have you tried reverting to the old wiring to see if it kills the hum?
