Les Paul Semi Acoustic

Hi, i was thinking of getting my les paul copy body and cutting the top off with a big fat bandsaw and then getting a piece of flamed maple and cut the f shaped holes out in it and sticking the flamed maple on, also making the top flat. I've had a browse inside thru the pickup holes and it looks like i would have to route out the body to make it semi acoustic.

Asking the same question in multiple threads tends to make folks around here less likely to answer. It also cheeses off the mods.

I found the one about retopping a les paul but i cant seem to find one anywhere about making it semi acoustic so i started a new topic maybe be I'm seaching the wrong things. Noddy

The short answer: It's easier to build from scratch than to modify an existing guitar. If you really want a semi-acoustic LP, I suggest you build one, or buy one; not half of each.
