bassampegman
I have a fairly new acoustic guitar that on removal of the old nut and fitting of a new nut the black headstock paint was damaged down to the base wood colour. Now here is my dilema do i touch up the damaged area which has the problem of matching it in to the rest of the headstock or do i re-paint the complete headstock in black and then purchase some gold decals for the guitar brand and fit them. I would prefer to to repair the damage ( about 1/2" area ) but is it possible to do this and blend it in to the headstock original paint or will it look a mess and the only proper way is to re-paint the complete headstock. Skit
I'd imagine it wouldnt be all too difficult to blend the colour in, there arnt too many differnet shades of black.
