possum1284 Posted September 18, 2005 Report Posted September 18, 2005 hi do i need a flyod rose bridge in order to use the locking nujt? Also is it possiblr to use the locking flotd rose nut as a standard nut( remove the extra stuff)? thanks Quote
Hunter Posted September 18, 2005 Report Posted September 18, 2005 You don't NEED a Floyd Rose to use the locking nut. I believe Schaller makes a non-trem bridge with finetuners so you can use it with the locking nut. Infact, you can get one from Stewmac. Here is the link Yes, you can use the Locking nut as a standard nut (IE: Remove the string clamps) Quote
Nitefly SA Posted September 18, 2005 Report Posted September 18, 2005 unrelated really, but what are those past the nut locking nuts called? are they still available? Quote

Hunter Posted September 18, 2005 Report Posted September 18, 2005 (edited) To remove the string clamps, simply loosen the set-screws (Allen key screws) that hold them down, and then pull the clamps off. Batfink Posted September 19, 2005 Report Posted September 19, 2005 unrelated really, but what are those past the nut locking nuts called? are they still available? ← Are you talking about a Kahler lock nut ie: locks after the nut rather than being the nut itself, there was a thread recently about Kahler going back into production.
