sixthview
I am used to using the normal 5 ways with the 8 tips alternating on the left and right. So I got one with them all in line and though it would work the same... I found that they don't. Does anyone have a conversion diagram??? Or perhaps a decent explanation of how they differ? Basically I am wiring a strat with some personal mods, but if anyone had a strat diagram with the five-way like I have (all prongs in a line) I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance. frank falbo
When they're all in line, the center two are usually the hots. The switch is split right in half, not unlike the traditional wafer switch. So it's kind of like this: 1/2/3/H H/1/2/
ansil
however they do make some inline ones that are backwards form what you shown. 1/2/3/H H/3/2/1 although they are not as common but i have seen them in a cheap yamaha strat copy
