thegarehanman
You could always get a multiple channel preamp for it, since it's just a power amp. Carvin and Mesa sell nice rackmountable preamps.

onelastgoodbye
+1 on the rockmaster and I'll throw in the ADA mp-
ansil
+1 on the rockmaster and I'll throw in the ADA mp-1 ← yes i quite liked the ada.. however only once the noise mods were done. but yes quite right that is a very good suggestion if i wasn't building myself a tube preamp then i would defineatley get one of the above mentioned ones. i found a killer sale on some 6112's and some 6021's about 2 usd each so can we say hamond box sized tube amp multichannel. yes i can. i am thinking of putting in a small OT just to make it more realistic. and couuple that through a matching transformer into a power section. Black Mariah
That's my current rig. ADA MP-1 into a Tube Works Mosvalve power amp. Sounds excellent. I don't have what I'd consider a noise problem with it. I mentioned the ProGAP because they're cheaper (the one I bought a while back was $85) and have, god help us all, the most gain of anything I've ever heard... EVER. ansil
So you use the old tubeworks as well. that was my rig.[minus the ada sub rockmaster] for years. most breathy sound i have had till i started building. Some of the units weren't noisy or only had a the usual noise level but for a while the ada's could be insanely noisy at high gain settings. my buddy uses the rocktron they are some of the only people i like there high gain sound though it is tubeless. so i do concur but alas i am a tube junky. Black Mariah
So you use the old tubeworks as well. that was my rig.[minus the ada sub rockmaster] for years. Yeah, I just got all this stuff in a trade. Carvin X100B head for a Furman power conditioner, MP-1, ADA Microcab, and power amp. Good deal as far as I'm concerned.
