Mattia
Print it, and try out the various different options described on scrap. That'll help even more :-)
zionstrat
mattia- will do- Btw I had wanted to go with oil based filler as I hear it has less chance of swelling the wood- But all the dies I am seeign are either water based or Alcholhol based- What dies would you suggest I mix with an oil based filler and can I spray poly or nitro clear over either? Drak
What's really interesting is how deep the color in the grain gets, especially in the neck, where the grain looks nearly black... That's why I kept saying to let the black filler idea go, because they'll look really dark anyway, without using black. ________________________ I actually like the oil-based filler better than the waterbased stuff. It's a bit easier to work, doesn't dry so damn fast, and I think leaves the pores 'clearer'. Hard to explain, gotta see it in person to understand. Just make sure you let it dry for 2 weeks before shooting any finish on it. ...And, as mentioned, PRACTICE ON SCRAP FIRST!
