Mickguard Posted November 22, 2005 Report Posted November 22, 2005 I need to adjust the relief on my telecaster...the neck's gone all goofy with the cold snap and wet weather we've been having. Problem is...I just discovered that the adjuster for the trussrod is stripped! So is this neck trash? Man, I really hate ebay...that's it, I've had it. And this neck came from a power seller too. SwedishLuthier Posted November 22, 2005 Report Posted November 22, 2005 One possibility: Using a heavy plank and some spacers on each end, placed at the fret board side, and a clamp on the middle, you might be able to force the neck into a slight back bow. If this works, you might be able to get enough grip on fresh threads. Quote

soapbarstrat Posted November 22, 2005 Report Posted November 22, 2005 Well, if you're up to the challenge, ebay offers a lot of necks that this trick won't even cure. I handle a lot of ebay bought necks for someone who has never bought or sold a single item on ebay. Quote
