fookgub Posted November 27, 2005 Report Posted November 27, 2005 Hello all, I was hoping someone might know the string spacing that Ibanez used on the Edge tremolos circa 1998. I've measured 2 3/32" with my calipers, but I can't seem to confirm that anywhere. The reason I'm asking is I'm taking the neck from my trusty RG520 and putting it on a RG321 body. The 321 has a 2 1/16" string spread, and I'm wondering if the extra 1/32" (about .8mm) will make a difference? Quote
fookgub Posted November 28, 2005 Author Report Posted November 28, 2005 bump. nobody knows? I found a website that said the original Floyds were 2 3/32", so I suppose the Edge is, too. Anybody think the 1/32" difference will be noticeable? Quote
marksound Posted November 28, 2005 Report Posted November 28, 2005 That's an extra 1/32 at the bridge? I don't think your fretting hand will notice much. If your picking hand complains, cut it off*. *The management, staff, and membership of Project Guitar are not repsonsible for self-inflicted injury. Proceed at your own risk. Quote
