bugman96 Posted November 28, 2005 Report Posted November 28, 2005 I just received the warmoth neck I ordered. I got it with predrilled holes for sperzels, but it doesn't have holes for the little guide pins. Is that something that warmoth typically omits? Quote
Mattia Posted November 28, 2005 Report Posted November 28, 2005 Warmoth will simply pre-drill the post holes to fit the tuners you want, which means the right diameter holes. Indexing pins, screw holes, etc. are your own responsibility. Quote
thegarehanman Posted November 29, 2005 Report Posted November 29, 2005 What I do to accomodate the pin is put the tuner in the hole with the key pointed in the direction I want it. I lightly tap the tuner with a rubber mallet so it makes a mark where the pin is. Then simply drill a hole where the pin is(be very careful not to go through the front of your headstock, and try not to make the hole bigger than the pin). peace, russ Quote
Sambo Posted November 29, 2005 Report Posted November 29, 2005 they leave them off as some people like their tuners parallel with the middle of the neck whilst some like them parallel with the edge of the headstock.. just makes you able to make that custom guitar a bit more custom. Not exactly a big job putting the holes in anyway. Quote
