No Quarter Posted December 3, 2005 Report Posted December 3, 2005 I recently purchased an American Stratocaster. I love it except for the very bottom tone pot. It seems harder to turn than all the others and it wiggles slightly if you try to tilt it. Also, when you turn the pot it sends a quiet *pop* through the amp. After sending the *pop* it will not send another unless you leave it alone for five minutes and move it again. Now I seem to be somewhat of an obsessive compulsive when it comes to treasured items. I want them to be perfect and although I pretty much never touch the bottom tone pot it bugs me. I took it in and they replaced it, but when I tested the tone pot out it had the exact same problems. Are the bottom tone pots supposed to act like this? Do all of them have these problems? Am I being too picky? Quote
Nitefly SA Posted December 3, 2005 Report Posted December 3, 2005 no they are not supposed to be like that, it is possible you've gotten 2 bad pots, maybe they just need cleaning Quote
