scooterguitar
I have the deep panel jack (DPJ1 on the moth site) which is different from any schematics I found. It has the prongs sticking way out at the end, but also a small point in the center, which is my hot?
Samba Pa Ti
is it a shielded jack ? those are pretty deep, usually the middle bit is the hot outside bit ground (since its touching the body, should be a bit of plastic/rubber/resin isolating the middle (hot) lug)
lovekraft
The longer terminal should connect to the jack body - it's the shield, or sleeve, terminal. The shorter terminal should connect to the center of the jack end, as Samba Pa Ti says, and be electrically isolated from the jack body by an insulating ring - it's the hot, or tip, connector. scooterguitar
So, I will need to connect the center to an outside tip, and use another as ground? Or just use the cetner as my hot and ground one of the outsides? I think I am misunderstanding. Thanks for the help, tonight's th enight.
