thegarehanman
No, I believe he's talking about the white area around the edge of the guitar where ones arm would rest. I hope he'd have the sense to realise the ovals are grain. This is too confusing...a little clarity goes a long, long way.
mikhailgtrski
Who knows? You'd think he'd know the difference between wood grain and a wear mark. This lack of clarity stuff can make your head hurt. Not to mention trying to diagnose a neck bow off that photograph.

Mickguard
My ebay rule: never put more money into a guitar/part than you're prepared to lose. In fact, I've given up buying guitars off ebay altogether. Just don't think it's worth it. I'm still buying parts though, because there's nothing around locally. But even with parts, I'm pretty much prepared to get ripped off (unless I'm buying new parts from a pro seller). Possum, just relax and play the thing. thegarehanman
Kids these days ...they just can't appreciate a few character marks. I don't feel like a guitar is really mine until I give it a few love taps. Edited December 12, 2005 by thegarehanman
stiggz
hehe im a fan of the totally pristine giutar to start with but over the course of its life it gains character, and a little wear, and i can tell a story about every single ding in my acoustic, (only 5 and ive had it for 8 years). As for love taps.... nah let the aging process flow naturally. oh yeah, back on topic, got urself a good deal there luke ps. Mickguard what the hell did u do with idch?
