deanbo Posted December 31, 2005 Report Share Posted December 31, 2005 I am the proud owner of a lovely Peavey wolfgang and up to know i've only swapped the trem for a new Schaller 2 floyd,which is my favourite and it all works great. Now i have 2 x 4-conductor Humbuckers with a Gibson style pickup selector switch middle being both ON.The mod i want is to be able to select the 2 inside coils of the humbuckers,but i can't find any wiring diagram that shows how to do it. I have 1 500K volume pot and NO tone pot and i would still like to be able to have the switch in the middle position,giving me both ' Buckers ON. I realise i might need at least a push pull pot to do this as there's No Way i'm drilling any holes in my quilt top. I already have some push pull pots and just need a wiring diagram to show me how to do it. I've done plenty of pickup mods before and can solder well,just never done this one before.thanks. Dean. lovekraft Posted January 2, 2006 Report Share Posted January 2, 2006 Simply locate the coil joint (where two wires are soldered together and taped off) on each pickup, and connect a DPDT switch so it shorts the bridge pickup's coil joint to ground and the neck pickup's joint to hot.
