Buckethead Posted January 5, 2006 Report Share Posted January 5, 2006 Hi, i'm a noob at guitar when it comes to pickups, just about to upgrade my strats stock pickups for some new ones including a hot rails. Question is that after reading many reviews, most of them tell me a hot rails pickup has a 4th wire for "Coil Tapping". Now I looked that up on Google and found no useful information (maybe because I didnt look hard enough) but in the end I have no idea on what it is. Could someone please fill me in?
