nicoyabe Posted January 9, 2006 Report Posted January 9, 2006 Hi everybody I'm new here and working on a guitar project. I have been looking at most of the tutorials about tips but couldn't find exactly what I needed: So I'm making a solid body guitar with tune-o-matic bridge, humbuckers, neck angle, etc.... and I was wandering if the distance betwwen the neck heel or 22nd fret and the sadlles on the bridge have to be specific??? I have a template from a picture but it's not really accurate (+ or - 5mm of accuracy). Would it change the intonation or create any other problem?I have all the correct measures to set the hard tail (tilted) in relation with the bridge. Thank you Quote
Daniel Sorbera Posted January 9, 2006 Report Posted January 9, 2006 (edited) The nut to bridge legnth (from the front of the nut to the high e saddle) match your scale legenth (be it 25" or 25.5" or whatever) If the distance between the nut and bridge is does not match your scale legnth than you will run into some serious problems Edited January 9, 2006 by Godin SD Quote
mikhailgtrski Posted January 9, 2006 Report Posted January 9, 2006 As they say, a picture is worth a thousand words: scale length Quote
