IMHO you will never get a MT2 to sound like a bogner. Thats like asking someone to hot rod your pinto to perform like a lamborghini. Just not gonna happen. IMHO the MT2 sounds like an angry hive of bees, thats about it. We are talking about tubes vs. solid state here and no solid state device will sound exactly like a bogner.

Not totally shooting down your idea, there may be some mods out there that will make an MT2 sound less "buzzier" but not like a bogner. You may want to save your money and sample some other pedals such as the RAT, Fulldrive, MXR dist + etc. You may find one that works for you.

What type of amp do you use? If its a solid state 1 x 10" ibanez or something, no pedal will help you in your quest. A great amp can make a crappy guitar sound great, but a crappy amp can make a super guitar sound like ka-ka.

my 2cents.

hope this helps, and welcome to the forum!

Do a search for "Metal Zone Mods" at http://www.diystompboxes.com

There's a few things you can do, but don't expect it to magically transform into something completely different, it's just not going to happen... :D

Hi and Hi really thanks for you guys to correct me hahaha i didnt know that this topic here would cause such big laughter here that warms up this place :D hehe thanks

well mmmm i use a laney VC30 here tops off with my jackson SL2H equipped with the wonder dimebucker at bridge and a jazz SH2N at neck am happy that my laney sounds much thicker than b4 by using a rough patch from Zoom 2000 pedals

well i would wanna invest into much better amps to quest for a much much fattier tone and meaty too yet much as i heard from my friend about getting an MT2 being sounds like a bogner hehehe i just have to take it just like it is on the webpage that i posted b4 mmmm he got some projects which he mods an MT2 that he describes it as a bogner type of tonality hahahah sorry if i were to cause u guys having a bad stomach after laughing that much haha LOL anyway please do hear the tone of from this link here

( too bad i am from singapore and i dont have the luxury to play or test any bogner or VHT or ENGL b4)

http://www.indyguitarist.com/soundclips/mt2_Brad_1.mp3

which he describes as bogner and even diezel!! hahaha

so hope to hear from what u guys feel and have any to open my eyes wider on better amp tones and also having being modifiying any distortion pedals maybe not like thoese high amps nor even close but just to shape the tone for a soothing hear?? hehehe thanks for all you guys views and laughters !!! :D
