metgt4 Posted February 5, 2006 Report Posted February 5, 2006 Ok, I'm building a guitar with one humbucker, and a fixed bridge. I want to just have that and an output... No tone, no volume, but I have no idea how to wire that. If it helps, I have a SD Custom Custom. Thanks Andrew Quote
crafty Posted February 5, 2006 Report Posted February 5, 2006 Solder the red and white wires together, solder the black wire to the tip lug on the output jack, solder the green and silver ground wires together to the sleeve lug on the output jack. Solder another wire to the ground lug on the output jack and run it up to the bridge. Either solder it to the underside of the bridge or let the bridge hold it in place between the bottom of the bridge and the top of the body with screw tension. Quote
metgt4 Posted February 5, 2006 Author Report Posted February 5, 2006 whats the difference between the ground lug and the tip lug? Quote
thegarehanman Posted February 5, 2006 Report Posted February 5, 2006 One lug goes to the tip, the other to the sleeve(both of which are on a 1/4" mono input jack). It's pretty straight forward. Quote
metgt4 Posted February 5, 2006 Author Report Posted February 5, 2006 ah, makes sense. Thanks a lot guys! Quote
