thewrathofraf
hey. I just installed a Duncan Invader in the bridge and a Duncan Jazz in the neck of my Ibanez SZ720. The problem is that I am now having a LOT of extra noise when I put the switch in the middle position. Any ideas on what this could be or how to fix it? Thanks. -RAF
Nitefly SA
is it in single coil mode? is there any noise in any of the othe positions?
GregP
You may have inadvertently set up a ground loop, though that should produce unwanted noise regardless of position, or so I thought. Greg
thewrathofraf
well the guitar is set up with the 2 humbuckers...each is wired to its own volume knob and there is one tone knob. it has a 3 way toggle switch. the bridge pup has no noise at all. the middle position has a ton of excess noise and the neck pup has some excess noise, but not nearly what the middle position has. when i had the original pups in there was no noise in any position. also the bridge pup has significantly higher output than the other positions, but i think thats because its an invader and is supposed to have more output. thanks guys. -RAF
