crafty
Bigger pots are rated for higher wattages. It doesn't really matter much in a guitar because the amount of power generated in the guitar is so little that a 1/4 watt pot isn't going to melt anymore than a 1/2 watt one. JohnH
Does anyone have a view on whether the larger or smaller ones last longer before they wear out/go scratchy? John
lovekraft
I haven't found a correlation between size and durability - they make 24mm pots that are just as bad as the worst 16mm pots I've come across. Keep 'em clean and lubricated, and they're usually good for decades.
