Roadhouse Blues
Does anyone know what types of paint look like those used on the Brian Setzer Hot Rod Models? I just bought a Hot Rod in purple, and I'm thinking about repainting it. I got it very cheaply because it was purple, and I'm thinking about repainting sometime in the next year or so. If anyone knows of the exact paint, or similar paints that give the same hot rod look, please tell me. I'm thinking about blue or red... If you haven't seen one of these guitars, the paint is solid, but it has a very slight sparkle. It's just like on old hot rods that people have painted... or other cars, if you look closely it sparkles, but it looks solid from far away. http://gretschguitars.com/gear/index.php?p...=&cat2=&q=&st=1 that's a link to the exact Gretsch link. Thanks, Matt
marksound
House of Kolor (very expensive), Createx (more reasonable). Guitar ReRanch has a translucent orange that's very close to the Gretsch and they're working on a metallic orange. That's just off the top of my head. I'm sure there are a thousand other places. rhoads56
yeah, right. Or, just use standard old metallic paint, thats all it is.
