cole
I was wondering what a resistor does when hooked to a jack of a amp or guitar. I've heard of this and I was just wondering what it was for. I would search for this but I wouldn't know what to look for.
lovekraft
Not enough information - a resistor on the input of a tube amp may be biasing the input grid, while in a stompbox, it may just be pulldown. You'll have to be more specific - FWIW, I can't think of any good reason to use a resistor either in series or in parallel with a guitar's output jack. cole
I think it was a resistor on a amp's output jack.
lovekraft
No offense, but that's no help at all - verify what it is, and maybe somebody can explain what it's for.
