tirapop
Hey Mickguard, how about a Dano style with no clothes on ? http://72.41.120.252/temp/dano_frame.gif So that's what they look like underneath? You know, I love the Dano look, but just can't get past the cheapness factor. I think this is the interior of a real Dano. Aren't you the guy who made a knock-off of the Convertible? There's something cool about taking something cheap (masonite, staples) and making it sing. It's a nice counterpoint to tone-nazis and the cult-of-quilted-maple. Specimen does a line of Dano/Silvertone inspired guitars. The construction really seems to work with slab style bodies like Teles. Maybe make a Dano-style version of your Melodymaker. drinkchoglit
as far as single cuts go i really like the http://www.schecterguitars.com/spec.asp?id=72]shecter ultra series. i also think mickgaurd was just about right with his comment about the gretsch, but i perfer the black falcon, witch is pretty much the same guitar that he posted the pic except there is gold every where there is silver on that one
Mickguard
Oh yeah, I hate gold hardware...personal choice. Schechter has some cool designs lately, I really like the TSH-12 (and -1). But maybe that's just for the pickguard
Pr3Va1L
Talking about Schecter... Does the Tempest qualify for singlecut? http://www.schecterguitars.com/spec.asp?id=51 Or maybe the avenger does? (oooh pointy!) http://www.schecterguitars.com/spec.asp?id=137#
exhaust_49
Sorry to tell you guys. I know it's an old design and I know it's been copyed to death but there's just nothing like the les paul single cut shape.
rokeros
however, it can't qualify for oeiginality which is what i'm after for lol
Mickguard
however, it can't qualify for oeiginality which is what i'm after for lol So, uh, when exactly did 'lol' qualify as a punctuation mark? Seems to me it's become the period for a new generation.
thegarehanman
however, it can't qualify for oeiginality which is what i'm after for lol You're after originality, yet you want to copy a design? You'll have to explain how that works to me.

wwood
I've always liked the Gibson Nighthawk / Blueshawk shape, kinda like a sexier LP. http://www.wolfgangguitars.com/Gibson%20Nighthawk.htm wwood Edited March 16, 2006 by wwood
rokeros
very sexy indeed. But I cut the singlecut now. Too many decisions. I shrunk my original icefly, by 1cm on each end, changed the iceman horn and its going to CNC hopefully tmr. Sorry guys, always rushing here and there. But this body has to be done and buffed up by wednesday morning lol.
